WHO WE ARE

Azzawaj Women & Children Intervention Centre (AWIC) is a non-political, non-religious, Non-Governmental Organization that works creatively and proactively to address social issues and respond to humanitarian emergencies.

Under its core thematic areas of education and economic empowerment, AWIC promotes the rights and wellbeing of children, women and other vulnerable populations (Persons Living with Disabilities in particular) through targeted advocacy, interventions and support programmes to influence and empower citizens to make better and informed choices to have better and secured future. Established in 2017, AWIC has its head office in the FCT and Abuja, and operates mainly in the northern region of Nigeria.
